6 Instagram Accounts You Need To Be Following!

Hi, I'm Beth, I'm 20 and I'm an Instagram addict.
I've always been a visual thinker, a self-confessed perfectionist and have a love for photography, so of course, Instagram has always been right up my street! I post regularly, can scroll down my feed aimlessly for hours and forever keeping up to date with my favourite accounts. In this post, I thought I'd share with you some of my personal favs so you can scroll away for hours too and be at awe at their amazingness. Sorry for encouraging you guys who actually have lives and prefer to spend your time, ya know, socialising and all that jazz. I'm also a self-confessed saddo!

*Before I start, a quick side note – I swear that my life isn't all smiles, all sparkly and perfectly staged like my own Instagram might suggest. Sometimes I post photos that were taken months ago and I've been known for making a cuppa tea for a picture that I didn't even drink (lol at me). Just keep in mind that you only see such small snippets of people's lives in one still image.

1) @humansofny

A guy called Brandon Stanton shares stories of just everyday people – he wanders around the streets of New York, carries out interviews and captures this in a photo. It's a really powerful account that is guaranteed to pull on your heart strings!! I've always thought how strange it is, that you can walk past a complete stranger and have absolutely no idea what that person is going through. Humans of New York captures this idea perfectly – that we should all just be bloomin kind and smile more to each other!

2) @emilycoxhead
I'm been a massive fan of this account for years now! Emily really is sprinkling a whole LOT of happiness all over the planet! Go give her a follow and whilst you're at it, get subscribed to 'The Happy Newspaper' (link in her Instagram bio) – all the happy and inspiring news happening all over the world, delivered straight to your email. When all we hear about is negativity, it’s nice to be reminded that there actually is some incredibly kind, courageous people, doing amazing things!

3) @bitingback

I follow around 600 accounts on Instagram but this one takes the award for my all time favourite. Anyone who struggles with their body image or low self confidence needs to follow Hayley. She's an advocate of self love/acceptance, is a true inspiration and is absolutely beautiful!

4) @thepinkdiary

This blogger hands down deserves a space on your insta feed! What's not to love about a bunch of pretty flatlays, beautiful destinations and stunning photography?

5) @allaboutelisa

If you're a travel enthusiast and have a passion for fashion you will absolutely love this account. Elisa is beeeeeutiful and absolute goals! Beware to get serious outfit envy from every post!

6) @louisepentland

Louise's Instagram is a montage of her day to day life, heavily including her daughter, Darcy. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious. Something I really admire about this account is the realness it displays when it comes to motherhood! Before my two sisters became mothers, I didn't realise just how difficult it can be to raise a child. There is such a pressure in our society to be this super human and produce children that can act like robots. It's unfair. I can categorically guarantee that every single modern day mum has shoved an iPad in the hands of their child for just a moment of peace and quiet. Just fess up ladies! If more parents were honest about their parenting techniques (like Louise), less of them would go to sleep at night, guilt ridden, worried they're doing everything wrong.
