Spring In Notting Hill!

A few weekends ago now, Catherine and I met the insanely talented Katherine Mcmorran, who kindly took some snaps of us both. She was mainly taking photos for Cat's blog but I thought I'd just jump in for a few! ;) We were super lucky with the weather - the sun was shining for us all day long! Anyone who knows me, knows that I am permanently cold (I'm always the first to get the finger pointed at for the sky high electricity bills... soz mum and dad) but Saturday was the first day of the year where I actually strolled around beautiful Notting Hill without a jacket on - I know, miracles do happen! Here are just a few of the photos we got...

I'm pretty much dressed head to foot in Zara, all items currently still available (links below). I'm loving Zara at the moment due to their gorgeous spring collection, affordable prices and how you're always guaranteed a pop of colour when you walk through the doors of any of their stores. Before my big splurge on Oxford Street, I hadn't been shopping in a while so was happy to see that the floral embroidery trend was still blooming - ey, see what i did there! ;) It was love at first sight with the blouse - it screamed 'spring' with the floral design (right up my street) and I really liked the mesh detail on the sleeves. The floaty material makes it perfect for those days when you want to indulge in pizza and donuts too (added bonus)! I ummed and arred about the trousers, only because I already have a few pairs like them. The thing is, culottes are so comfy and not only perfect for this time of year but also ideal for summer, meaning you can get plenty of wear out of them. These black ones are a great staple piece to have in the wardrobe and it's always nice to venture out of jeans now and again too.

As we speak, I'm curled up on the sofa under a mountain of blankets, throwing it back with Hozier's album on repeat. I've woken up to the brightest blue skies and the world's worst headache. Perrrrrrfect! As you may be able to tell, I'm not a morning person. Mum's just made me a coffee (babe) and soon, once the caffeine's kicked in, I'm going to go upstairs to get my glad rags on. Today mum and I are going to spend some quality time together, just the two of us. We're going to pop into town to do some charity shop bargain hunting (our favourite) and most likely stop off somewhere for a cuppa. I can't think of a better way to spend my Thursday! The forecast is due to stay like this for the weekend so I plan on spending it outside, drinking gin and spending time with my besties. Long may the sunshine continue! Anyway, enough of me waffling on! I hope you like the pics and have the loveliest of days enjoying this lush weather!

Speak soon!

Lots of love as always,
